About Our Group
Northumberland Runners are committed to creating a welcoming environment for runners of various levels. Our mission is to inspire and encourage everyone to enjoy running and connect with others in the community.
Our membership requirements are very simple: A heartbeat and a sunny disposition will usually do it. There is no fee to join. Our runs are casual, relaxed and usually include some excellent conversations (except on hills).
We tend to run on roads mostly in winter and trails when the snow disappears.
If you are not a trail runner you are in for a treat.
We have some great trails available to us in the area.
On Sunday we meet for a long run.
We usually meet at 8 am and will cover approximately 16 kms.
16K on roads usually is done in an 1 hour 30 minutes.
On trail you would add about 15 – 20 minutes.
If you feel like this is a good fit, you are welcome to join us for a run.
We wish to encourage as many local runners as possible to join us.
